Today, after the third extension, the Nordwestzentrum (NWZ) is one of the largest shopping centres in Germany. Since the opening of this shopping centre the NWZ attracts up to 40 000 visitors per day and therefore the concept is a big success.
The NWZ has to thank its architectural concept for its extraordinary popularity: The skylight structure, the high-quality natural stone floors and facades, the elegant shop galleries and the large number of green quiet areas create a stimulating shopping world.
The most recent modernisation was also based on an ambitious architectural concept. We were responsible for the design and the realisation of the following elements: the high-rise building façade including the attic covering, the mall façades including shop windows, the aluminium windows and doors, the sun shading and the stainless steel coverings.
